First check to ensure that all of your fuels are turned on and your fluid levels are correct. Place the changeover lever into the gas position, choke appropriately, turn on the ignition switch and press the starter lever. Once it is sufficiently warmed up on gas, open the diesel throttle while pulling back on the changeover lever, ensuring that the throttle is open enough so that the engine does not stall.
